Autumn session 1 will cover the latest resources, updates, and news to support the ongoing development of effective EYFS leaders. Strategies for new initiatives will be shared, along with tailored elements requested by subject leaders. Sessions include sharing good practices, where leaders discuss and reflect on initiatives they’ve implemented and their impacts

This meeting will evaluate the impact of actions from the previous term, share good practices, and focus on bespoke elements requested at the last meeting.

Date & Time: 14th May 2025 – 13:30 – 15:30  

Location: Maritime Hub, Birkenhead 

The session will address bespoke elements from the Spring Term, with a focus on fieldwork, moderation, and transition work to support all colleagues.

Ruth is an award- winning Early Years specialist with more than 30 years’ experience working in Education. She has taught children aged 2 – 11. A former Primary Headteacher and Ofsted inspector, Ruth currently works as an LA School Improvement Advisor, Early Years Advisor and Independent Consultant in the UK and internationally. Ruth is the Lead developer and author of the Oxford International Early Years Curriculum and leads the OUP EY training for schools in more than 40 different countries. She is currently writing a version of this curriculum for children who are new to learning English. She has recently written a second book, “A child centred EYFS” with her co-author Dr Aaron Bradbury which is due out in September.
