On a vibrant evening at Birkenhead’s iconic live music venue, Future Yard, students from Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust (HFCMAT) schools lit up the stage with an unforgettable showcase of musical talent. Tuesday Night Live, a new twist on the Trust’s popular Friday Night Live series, brought together young musicians from St John Plessington Catholic College in Bebington and St Mary’s Catholic College in Wallasey for an incredible night of performances.

For many students, this event was an opportunity to share their passion for music with a packed audience of friends, family, and community members. Performers delivered a diverse array of songs, covering genres like folk, rock, and pop. Whether playing as soloists or in groups, the energy and talent on display were undeniable.

A Showcase of Talent Across the Trust
Over 50 young musicians took part in the event, captivating the audience with their skills on guitar, drums, and vocals. Among the highlights of the night were:
The Reapeatles, a group who paid tribute to The Beatles with a beautiful four-part harmony rendition of Because.

Fuzion, a Year 10 band from St Mary’s, who brought the house down with their fifth appearance at an HFCMAT music event. Their cover of The Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers provided an epic finale.
Zac, a talented student from St John Plessington, who wowed the crowd with his rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s Born to Run.

Building a Community Through Music
Tuesday Night Live provided the Trust with an opportunity to showcase the incredible talent within its schools. The atmosphere was electric as students performed with confidence and supported one another throughout the evening. Music is a vital aspect of school life at St John Plessington and St Mary’s, and events like this give students the chance to perform on a large stage, gaining valuable experience in the process.

The local community played an important role in the event, showing their support for the young musicians and helping to create a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere. Future Yard proved to be the ideal venue for the night, highlighting the strength of collaboration between schools and the wider community.

Celebrating Student Success
Tuesday Night Live marked a series of exciting firsts: it was the first time the event was held on a Tuesday and the first time hosted at Future Yard. The students performed with confidence and flair, showcasing their abilities and coming together as part of a supportive musical community.

With the overwhelming success of the evening, HFCMAT has once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering creativity and celebrating student achievements. The Trust looks forward to more events like this in the future, as young musicians continue to grow and shine on stage.
